     Dear friends and colleagues,

     Klaipeda Science and Technology Park together with the partners kindly invites you 2nd International conference „ EastLink: the way to Knowledge Economy“, which taking part on October 1-2nd, 2012 in KLAIPEDA, Lithuania.
The concept of “EastLink” cooperation is based on EU Eastern partnership policy and the EU Central Asia cooperation strategy. The main goal of the conference is to attract business support organizations, science institutions and enterprises for constructive dialogue with the aims to:

1. Build a bridge in between Education institutions in the East and West
2. Facilitate joint Research projects
3. Accelerate technology transfer processes in the Cooperation areas
4. Facilitate business partnership for promotion of innovations and foster development of Knowledge Economy.

The conference is targeting 4 major economic trends:

• Maritime industry
• Energy
• Transport
• Life sciences

The content of the agenda
The programme access participants to the experts’ reports on upcoming global trends which influencing aforementioned sectors regionally and nationally. There will be a special session on how to manage the main EU finance programs. Other presentations provide information on IP management and commercialization models. Prepared case studies will illustrate successful examples of science knowledge commercialization and introduce capacities of the scientific labs for the industry partners.

Input for the programme is open
While program is still under development there are few spaces left for the high quality speakers and experts to present their ideas and findings. If you would like to participate as a speaker or propose a speaker for the conference, please contact us sending short CV and abstract of the presentation at eastlink@kmtp.lt.

Last but not least:
Due the support from the EU and national projects this year event is FREE OF CHARGE, thus more than 200 participants from more than 20 countries are expected.
